Our Vision

  • A world where all preventable contributors to cancer are eliminated.

Our Mission

  • Build a Canada-wide movement to eliminate the preventable contributors to cancer through research, awareness, education and advocacy.

Our Goals

  • Create a national movement for cancer prevention;
  • Entrench the precautionary principle, with use of the substitution principle to achieve least-
    toxic options;
  • Devote more funds to primary prevention (from the current ~2%), and act on what we know
    prevents cancer;
  • Improve regulations and policies, to end environmental and workplace exposures to
    contributors to cancer; and
  • Support individuals, groups, workers, communities, businesses and governments, with an
    emphasis on marginalized and vulnerable people, to reduce or eliminate exposures that contribute to cancer.

What We Do

  • Conduct and communicate rigorous scientific research;
  • Promote policy, regulatory and legislative reforms;
  • Prepare briefs and reports to advance cancer prevention and least-toxic approaches based
    upon broad, high quality scientific evidence;
  • Conduct public education;
  • Run focused campaigns; and
  • Promote member and group development and activities.
